No logic here with this set of photos. Except maybe I was in the mood for some color tonight. I was working on some photos from our West Seattle sunset and found some old stuff on my flashcard from our stopover in Sweden on our way to the Middle East a little over a year ago. I always find the church interiors, the plazas and the golden hour/blue hour transition as a favorite time to linger with my camera, be quiet, compose, savor. I’ve observed before that some of my best work comes during times of grieving or difficulty. The 3 pictures from Sweden where just after my Dad had passed away the end of March ’18. He gave me the gift of photography and always supported me in this passion. Perhaps I was subconsciously doing this to make Dad proud. Or to remember him well. Or to say, “look Dad!” I miss him.
